Liverpool has a shot to win it all

Liverpool can challenge for the title this year according to Robert Lewandowski. Yet Lewandowski thinks Man Shitty will win the whole enchilada. We will see.

The Daily Mail- “ Liverpool have not won the League title since 1990 but one of Jurgen Klopp’s former star players believes the Reds manager can guide his club to glory.

Robert Lewandowski, who won two Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund under the reign of Klopp, picks Manchester City as the favourites to land the Premier League.

However without any European football for Klopp’s men this campaign, Lewandowski sees Liverpool as true contenders to land silverware.

Liverpool have caught the eye with free-flowing attacking football to win five of their opening seven games of the campaign to head into the international break just two points off the top of the table.

‘Under Klopp I think they will be fighting for the title this season,’ the Poland international told

‘Pep and Manchester City will not make it easy for anybody to win the title, but Liverpool have a real chance.

‘Without European football it can really help them with being fresh for games and with injuries and, even though Klopp is always smiling, he is ruthless enough to take advantage of that.’

Lewandowski says he has watched some of Liverpool’s matches this season and believes you can tell the players enjoy their work under the ‘father figure’ of Klopp.

‘As a player you know that he totally has your back, he is like a father figure and, because you have that trust in him as a player, it makes you totally open to his methods and his ideas which, in the long term, you always see are for the benefit of your game and for the team.’

Meanwhile Lewandowski has already struck nine goals for Bayern Munich so far this season, with the reigning champions sitting undefeated at the top of Bundesliga.
