The Guys are top of the Table. Arsenal and Middlesbrough tied Nil-Nil

Tottenham had a chance to jump to at least the head of the class with a win over Bournemouth. Instead Spurs eked a nil-nil draw to pull them to 19 points.

This Tottenham’s second straight tie. Match summary from EPL website: “Spurs hit the woodwork also in the first half when Erik Lamela‘s shot grazed the woodwork after neat play from Dele Alli in the 17th minute. The point sent Spurs, who are still unbeaten, level on points with Manchester City and Arsenal on 19 points at the top of the table. AFC Bournemouth moved to ninth ahead of the other matches.”

Middlesbrough put up a gallant fight against Arsenal to hold my Gunners to nil-nil draw.

We had our chances however the guys couldn’t push the rock past the keeper Victor Valdes. Arsenal what looked like a for sure goal in the dying embers of the match the 90th minute plus three. Mesut Ozil thought poked home the rock. But wait a minute. Upon further review the goal was ruled offside and that was that.

Match Day EPL: “Arsenal’s winning run came to an end as they settled for a hard-fought draw with Middlesbrough at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal, looking to celebrate Arsene Wenger’s 67th birthday with a seventh successive Premier League win, dominated possession but Middlesbrough created the better opportunities with Petr Cech pulling off a series of saves to salvage a point.

Arsenal thought they had snatched all three points in stoppage time when Mesut Ozil turned in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross-shot only to see the goal ruled out for offside as Wenger’s men had to settle for a draw, moving them temporarily top of the Premier League, with Liverpool and Manchester City still to play.”
