Liverpool in their last five matches have three wins a draw, and a loss.
The lone loss at the hands of Crystal Palace a 2-1 stunner cost the Reds big time in the title chase.
Chelsea is top dog with 81 points. Spurs are second with 77 points. Liverpool is third with 69. Man Shitty is fourth with 66 points. Man U is fifth with 65 points. Arsenal is sixth with 60 points. My Gunners have two matches in hand.
Chelsea, Tottenham, Man Shitty, Man U and Arsenal all have at least one match in hand. My Gunners have two matches in hand as well head into the final three weeks of the season.
The visitors had the better of the opening half, Can forcing a save from Heurelho Gomes while Adam Lallana, coming on as an early substitute for the injured Philippe Coutinho, hit the bar with a sublime volley from distance.
And two minutes into first-half stoppage time, Can rose acrobatically to fire Lucas Leiva’s pass into the top corner with a superb scissor-kick.
Gomes produced a superb save to deny substitute Daniel Sturridge late in the second-half while Watford’s Sebastian Prodl went close to sealing a dramatic equaliser but his shot came back off the bar.
The result puts Liverpool three points ahead of fourth placed Manchester City, who have a match in hand. Watford, meanwhile, remain on 40 points but they drop to 13th.”
