Arsenal defeated voce vai zone Sunderland 2-0. Man Shitty took apart West Brom 3-1.  So, this means the race is on for the final two Champions League spots.  Shitty is third with 75 points. Liverpool is fourth with 73 points and Arsenal is fifth with 72 points.

It will come down to the final Sunday of the season to see who gets the two remaining spots.   Champions Chelsea and second place Tottenham already have their tickets punched to the big dance The Champions League.

The war rages between the Man Shitty, the Reds and my Gunners to see who gets the final two berths. This could change if Man U wins the Europa League on May 24th against Ajax.

EPL Match Report on my Gunners win. Arsenal kept alive their hopes of a top-four finish thanks to a second-half double against Sunderland by Alexis Sanchez.

The Gunners were frustrated for much of the match by the excellent goalkeeping of Jordan Pickford until Sanchez capitalised with two goals in 10 second-half minutes.

Arsenal thought they had scored early on only for Sanchez’s shot to be ruled out for a handball by Olivier Giroud, and the Frenchman was subsequently denied by Pickford.

Hector Bellerin and Granit Xhaka each fired over and wide, while Petr Cech had to be alive to deny Didier N’Dong and Jermain Defoe at the other end,

The second half was one-way traffic and although Pickford thwarted Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck, the former broke the deadlock when tapping in Mesuz Ozil’s skilful cutback.

Sanchez then pounced to head in when Pickford, for once, could not deal with Giroud’s header.

Arsenal move to within a point of fourth-placed Liverpool and remain three behind Manchester City, with one match remaining.”

Hopefully the Arsenal Board of Directors and in particular team owner Stanley Kroenke will be intent on spending some money to improve the roster during the off-season. Is it me , but Kroenke seems to bring a kiss of death to almost everything he touches within professional sports ? See the videos seen below , in particular the second which deals with Arsenal’s parent company.

Kroenke is a self-righteous and miserly ba$tard and this second video is a keen indication of what the majority stakeholder has been up to (Stanley Kroenke) .

So do you feel the video concerning Kroenke’s business conduct is a fair assessment of how he runs Arsenal and do you feel it has been of real benefit to the club ?

Stanley Kroenke is more concerned with the finances , not understanding a quality product has to be on the field of play in order to entice the fans to attend the games.

At a minimum , Arsenal will have to spend at least $70 million on the acquisition of new players to bolster their squad.

I do believe were it not for the injuries suffered this season , then Arsenal would have finished higher within the Premiership .

I agree. Way too many injuries. And not beating the clubs my Gunners needed to.

That was Arsenal’s problem all season long , no depth to the squad .

I think both Arsenal and Man United will be spending money . The problem remains however, which of the two will actually get value for money in terms of their acquisitions ?

Both (Arsenal & Man Utd) have to spend big , over $100 million each if they are to be seen as competitive and legitimate contenders for the Premiership.

Los Galacticos come up big to win La Liga .
